THE COMPLETE REMASTERED RECORDINGS ON BLACK SAINT AND SOUL NOTE - SUN RA (4CD Boxset)

Boxset includes three Black Lion SUN RA ARKESTRA discs plus a 'A Tribute To Stuff Smith' - a BILLY BANG album issued on Soul Note that features Sun Ra, John Ore & Andrew Cyrille.

I had always wanted to get a copy 'Mayan Temples' and buying this boxset was the most economical way, all this considered, to do just that.

Listened to all three in last couple of days. So much overlap, but In Stockholm Complete sounds the best.

    In Stockholm 1960 Complete
    All Of You: Last Tour

In Stockholm sounds the best to me.

Two days ago I've found this ritzy little Jazz LP in the bargain bin of a second hand shop in Frankfurt, Germany - Vinyl in VG++ condition for just 3 Euros.

Seems to be the original first press from 1957, and obviously one of the rarer and more valuable Blue Note releases:
    popsike.com - JOHNNY GRIFFIN • A BLOWIN´ SESSION • 1957 ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE 1559 DG RVG EAR NM - auction details :)

Some great music there but the sonics leave a fair bit to be desired.
