Conversations with a Goose - (Soul Note) CD 2012 remaster Jimmy Giuffre (clarinet/ soprano sax) / Paul Bley (piano) / Steve Swallow (electric bass) Recorded on May 27, 1993 and mixed on August 31, 1993 at Mu Rec Studio, Milano I have enjoyed listening to this fine disc a few times now over the past month. It's a refreshing sounding Trio album played in a cool and easy/laid back avant garde style.

Revisiting this really tasty Afro-Cuban / Afro-American Jazz recording. CACHAITO - ORLANDO CACHAITO LOPEZ (World Circuit) CD with Bass – Orlando "Cachaíto" López / Bongos – Carlos Gonzalez / Congas, Percussion – Miguel 'Anga' Diaz / Electric Guitar – Manuel Galban / Guiro, Claves – Alejandro Pichardo / Organ [Hammond], Clavinet – Bigga Morrison / Timbales – Amadito Valdes I love the musical atmosphere on this Afro-Cuban / Afro-American Jazz recording. I'm also very partial to the additional vibes created by the tasteful sprinkling of some dub sounds.

CONCENTRIC CIRCLES - KENNY BARRON QUINTET (Blue Note) CD Recorded March 2017 in Brooklyn, N.Y. I have listened to this tasty album a lot recently. It is another Kenny Barron title I picked up this year after realising how consistantly good all his other albums are. This Blue Note release from 2017 is another welcome addition to an ever growing Kenny Barron collection.
