Anyone here know how a Yank can hear this radio show on the BBC? I have a vpn tool that can locate me in Britain - is there a subscription service???

I'll add my two cents on this. Wrote the record company, got the missing pix AND some nifty pins as an extra gift. They made good.

I WANTED THOSE BLEEDIN' BADGES!! Didn't receive them. Just the photo. But now I really really really want/need/desire an Arthur coffee mug!!

So I ordered the 2CD as they claimed Mono and Stereo versions but it seems now like this has been changed and you get bonus tracks instead! It's also in stock in Amazon UK

 

The VPN should be enough. The ‘subscription service’ is the UK licence fee, and while you’re (obviously) ineligible for that you can just say you have one when prompted and you should be good.

 

Email sufficed. It was painless.

 

I did the same. Because of the mystery surrounding the photo, I didn’t think it would suffice to put it in the box, so I decided to frame it, and let it be it’s own thing. It hangs on the wall of my studio.

 

I should email them again. I have never received the missing photo or the bonus 45 for pre-ordering it.

 

Take it easy there, mate. It's not quite Wednesday yet (well it is here, but you know what I mean) so I wouldn't panic just yet.

Yeah it looks like half the album (Victoria to Shangri La minus Some Mothers Son) have been given new stereo remixes which is promising.

I’ve noticed in the last two interviews Sandoval has made a point of mentioning full band rehearsal takes’
done around Rays house pre recording sessions that he found recently and are on the set. These don’t seem to be mentioned in the track listing, so I wonder if they’re part of the ‘demos medley’. If so, that section also just got a lot more interesting. I also wonder if Pete Quaife is on any of these ‘rehearsal takes’ as it’s known he rehearsed Arthur stuff before he left...

 

I was wondering about that as well. I do prefer to hear all the songs in the medley as solo demos though it would be cool if each song had a solo snippet followed by a rehearsal snippet.

With Ray’s solo demos from this time being so tentative and fragmentary as heard on the VGPS box I’m more excited by the idea of early informal full band run throughs. Esp if Quaife was around!

 

Me too, that would be a treasure trove if there's enough of it.

 

You don't need a vpn to listen to UK radio.

 

The BBC did ask me to register first, and wanted a postal code. Whether my actual location meant anything is unknown.
