I think it's interesting that Paul wrote '(You Make Me) Rock Hard' with Dianne Warren (and Desmond Child), Dianne Warren being one of the most prolific and successful songwriters of all time, writing many huge love ballads. Show's Paul really did have a way with women.

    Indeed. :)

Not to mention one of Kiss' all-time biggest hits was also co-written with another who had a knack for writing love songs (at least in his time of success) - Forever (co-written with Michael Bolton).

    The Soft Intros Album
An album of favorites that have gentle intros or preludes. This was always a nice character of many Kiss songs. Paul, especially, liked to write a lot of songs this way...giving a sort of misleading gentleness before “the riff” kicked in...

Yes, one that was done by all four of the “next Kiss incarnation”.

I think I mentioned in my recap of the songwriting tallies how it’s interesting that only one song bears a credit of Stanley/Simmons/Frehley/Criss, and it’s one people usually forget, or one that just never gets associated with the band very much - Love Theme From Kiss! :)

I did ponder King Of The Mountain, but it lost out to the other ten. Still a great song though!

I must admit that I flat-out forgot about Creatures! Another great one! :)

Indeed, I’m sure every song had some “Stones” in it! :)

But the biggest reference I heard was from Paul saying how the signature guitar intro/outro was “me ripping off ‘Go All The Way’ by the Raspberries”.

I have no doubt though that Gene likely had a Stones-ish or “Bitch” vibe in mind when writing the main song. You can definitely hear it.
