Trolls 2 The World Tour Supporting our local theatre that has taken great steps to create a social distanced space and supporting my daughter's love of all things Trolls. Have to say, with all the spacing it was a great experience! No people crowding in front or behind or on the sides. It won't last but I think I'm going to enjoy it as long as I can.
Hobbs & Shaw. Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, and Jason Stratham. Can’t go wrong with 3 of your favourite actors as your last movie.
The small art house cinema in my nearest city has been playing movies all through the spring. Haven't been there since The Irishman though.
I got an email a couple of days ago from a small local arthouse theater saying they are going out of business after 38 years. Theater opening is not yet on the horizon here in NJ.
Sorry to hear that. The Tivoli here in Kansas City closed last year, and I doubt if the Rio will reopen.
We went to the drive-in last night, and saw one of the first showings of the (years in the making) final cut of Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre
Truthfully, Casablanca a decade or so ago. Before that, Fahrenhite 911 around 17 years ago. With thew amount i spend on discs, & having a great TV & stereo; I don't tend to do the theaters. + I like "pause" when it's restroom time! I did see a couple of the USA presidential debates in a theater last year if that counts!
The Rhythm Section is a nice movie worth watching, but I think I expected it to be more dynamic and with more action. But instead they spent time on short flashbacks, to create more emotion and drama. I agree, Blake Lively is good in it. The movie and character reminded me of La Femme Nikita a little.
I’m thinking it was Knives Out. It was the day New Jersey got our quarter inch of snow for the entire season.
It now appears to be 10 years since I last saw a movie in a movie theater, as The Coen Brothers’ True Grit was released, it appears, in 2010.
Pinky (1949) 7/10 Interesting, in that this is the second recent film (the other is a TV series) about racism for me; and I didn't know in advance that was the subject of either. Somewhat daring for 1949; somewhat politically lame for those with my viewpoints in 2020; though probably more relevant than ever with the current state of the USA. Though not in the lead, best known actresses are Ethel Barrymore & Ethel Waters. Jeanne Crain (who I'd never heard of) does an acceptable job in the leading role.
