My 13 year old daughter has decided that after years of disinterest that she wants to watch all the Marvel movies in chronological order. We've been watching them together as a family and are up to Civil War.

Until the end of the world (spread over three evenings).

I really enjoyed the first 1/3 of the film. It lost its appeal once they started with the parents and the cave stuff. I should have watched it in one sitting for the full experience.

Wrong Turn (2021) - an ok slasher thriller, they put a different twist in this one, some suspenseful moments
Blue Valentine (2010) - good drama and romance, overall a very sad movie
Blinded by the light (2019) - good family movie

Just watched Vertigo which I recorded last night on TCM. The host for that segment (Ben Mankiewicz) said it is considered one of the greatest-if not greatest-films of all time. I don't know if I concur-but it is a wonderfully acted and filmed movie.

Amulet (2020) - very good horror drama, very creepy and dark, with good and unexpected twist at the end. Enjoyed it a lot

I'm Going to Tell You a Secret (2005) In 2002 Madonna was happily married with two kids, living like a Queen in England, very religious and insanely political so she decides to do a world tour then visit Israel and promote world peace. Totally crazy in every respect, Madonna is Madonna but her chosen religion tells her she has to forgive everyone, she's also got no volume or edit button so she'll say the most inappropriate thing no matter who hears her. Like in In Bed With Madonna she chooses all these emotional cripples as her dancers until they become totally reliant on her then ditches them at the end of the tour. The only film that makes the British look worse is National Lampoon's European Action. Madonna's daughter speaks fluent French and seems disgusted that Madonna doesn't and a guy walks out of an American concert complaining that he didn't pay to see a Democratic Party pep rally. The extras are even better starting with a bicycle ride through London and ending with her wanting to touch the Wailing Wall.

Biopic about Hank Garland, widely regarded as one of the best Nashville session guitarists of all time, who's career was cut short by a tragic car accident which occurred under questionable circumstances. He later ended up in an insane asylum where electroshock therapy fried his brain. Good movie.
