It occurs to me that Will Smith and Jennifer Hudson are getting rave reviews for King Richard and Respect. It's strange to see them basically playing roles that THEY'VE done before in Pursuit Of Happiness and Dreamgirls. I guess there's worst ways to be typecast!;)

Star Trek The Motion Picture BR 4K UHD theatrical version, looks great.

  16. Ghostbusters: Afterlife. I was born in the 80's and grew up watching the cartoon and movies, so I enjoyed the new movie.

There's supposed to be a remastered version of the Director's Cut coming in 4K, too; I have the Director's Cut on DVD from the 10-film box set.

From 1967, The Comedians, with Richard Burton, Liz Taylor, Alec Guiness, Peter Ustinov, James Earl Jones, Roscoe Lee Browne, and Lillian Gish. The movie was set in Haiti during the reign of Papa Doc Duvalier. Duvalier's secret police, the Ton Ton Macoute, keep the population in fear. Burton is a British expat hotel owner who gets caught up in the political situation. Ustinov is a South American ambassador, Taylor is his wife, with whom Burton is carrying on a torrid affair. Guiness is a crooked arms dealer looking to make a fast buck. Jones is a Haitian doctor who is involved in resisting the regime. I thought it was a very good movie.

Three Fugitives (1989) - a favorite of mine from young age, with Nick Nolte and Martin Short. Some years later I also watched the French original Les Fugitifs with Gerard Depardieu and Pierre Richard. Simple but pleasant Francis Veber comedy with a poignant message of importance of family.
