in every way!
looking forward to owning this!
Yes it's Blu-ray! 116 minute version
Spartacus- Criterion Collection
They Shall Not Grow Old at my local public library earlier tonight.
First Blood on Blu-ray.
On Talking Pictures TV channel yesterday.
Comedy musical: Lester Benson (Kenneth Cope) manages top rock band Small Faces, but hides a secret. Also stars Kiki Dee & The Chantelles and Radio London.
A Quiet Place. Interesting but derivative horror film.
"Die Hard With a Vengeance" (1995)
A mad bomber with a grudge against John McClane is loose in NYC, sending him and a Harlem shopkeeper on a series of "games" around the city to distract from his ultimate master plan.
Bruce Willis' third "Die Hard" go-round is the biggest and most sprawling adventure yet, giving him an entire city to play in, and Samuel L. Jackson is hilarious as McClane's unwilling sidekick. The last great "DH" movie.
Got The Set-Up on DVD yesterday, just saw it. Great, great movie.
I last watched SHORT CIRCUIT 2 (1988) on VHS
The soundtrack is great. ("Short Circuit 2" Soundtrack [incomplete] - YouTube )
The Grapes Of Wrath (1940) on Blu-ray.
Watched Finding Forrester last night on the Epix channel, drab looking film but I enjoyed it, never seen it before.
A rewatch of Inglorius Basterds. That is masterful direction.
Crack in the World (1965)
Dark Shadows (2012)
Halfway through the latter, both on Netflix.
Death To Smoochy 3/10
Sill Alice 7/10
Gangs Of New York 7/10 [rewatch]
I think it's a great film! The last great role from Sean Connery too at this point.
Just watching it on TCM now. Terrific! The dialogue is brilliant. The confrontation between Kirk Edwards and the South American made me think of current events. Edmund O'Brien is really becoming a favorite actor of mine.
I used to have it on DVD, I may need to re-acquire it.
Against All Odds
I didn't remember how lllooonnnggg it was. This needed some editing. There is no reason for Kid Creole to be there and the love scenes are way too long and boring.
And if I was the Bridges character, I'd prefer Swoozie, who looked like a million bucks, to Rachel. Swoozie made it clear she wanted him any way she could. The Rachel character was a mess.
