THE OTHER WOMAN - We laughed, loudly, almost the entire time. Wasn't too long. Leslie Mann is brilliantly funny and pretty much stole the movie.

I went to see "The Grand Illusion" and L'Atlanta in Austin at the State Theater (I live in Houston so had to travel there), but loved it.
"Rules of the Game" is one of my favorite movies and so I have wanting to see "The Grand Illusion", so didn't want to pass up a chance to see it up on a big screen.
    I enjoyed it.
My now EX girlfriend got mad when I told her I went, you just can't win (I had tried to call her several times before I went but never could get her on the phone)
    UGH

THE SACRAMENT - Ti West's new found footage film that's essentially a retelling of the final hours at Jonestown. While I thought it was
well-executed and gripping, I'm not sure how much of that was something I brought to the table, having a grim fascination with that
dark incident. I also wonder, as with every found footage film, if it wouldn't have been equally (if not more) effective if presented normally,
without the shaky camera and logic-stretching reasons as to why everything is caught on tape. Also kind of amusing to see the "any resemblance
to persons living or dead is purely coincidental" at the end, when this is so clearly a recreation of that little community in Guyana and its leader.

I guess I'd be curious to hear what someone unfamiliar with Jonestown thought of this, as I new going in where the story would go so the twists
    were not unexpected to me.

BRICK MANSIONS. Weak predictable plot, derivative of several elements I've seen in other films/TV shows. For me, the star of the film was the videography of the choreography. I've never seen a Paul Walker film, and I enjoyed seeing him in one. All in all, it wasn't a bad way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon when I had nothing else to do while away from home. But it's nothing I'd care to see again.

American Hustle. I thought the performances were fantastic, especially that of Amy Adams. She's become one of my favourite actresses.
