Boy, yes, my wife loved it. Ultra contrived with hysterical acting. And a soon as the ridiculous requiem for the cop who got killed at the end is over, it turns out that there is another baddie behind Peter Taylor anyways :(

I have an idea for a new similar series - The Porn Collector...

LOL, that might be better! The basic premise is good (of course the novel is way better), and some of the clues are clever, but yes, the contrivance and extremely poor writing coupled with awful acting just ruined it for me. Bruce Hornsby wasn't so bad as a sidekick in Grimm, but he's not leading man material. And did Sachs have to be the heroine in every episode? If there is a second season, I shan't be watching. (I endured the first season because my wife liked it ['loved" is too strong in her case].)

Have to figure out what show to watch next. For now I am rewatching Kenny vs. Spenny. Stupid, immature, and vulgar, yes, but so many hilarious moments. It must be staged to some degree but the competitions and animosity always feel real.

I need a new show too. I am coming off an enjoyable run; Imposters, Preacher, Kidding, Angie Tribeca, Mr. Inbetween, No Activity, The Morning Show . . .

TV has never been nearly this good.

Finished season 2 of the Netflix original series Sex Education. Far better than I assumed it would be based on the premise - an inexperienced teen giving his high school classmates sexual advice...for money. I thought it would be another teenage sexploitation show but it's really not. It runs quite deeper than that, taking on many social issues. While the dialog and implications are not for the prude very little is actually shown on screen. I also find myself caring about the characters and plot line. There's loads of good music throughout which is an additional bonus. Stars Gillian Anderson (X-Files). It has a 94% Rotten Tomato rating. Hoping there's a season 3 next year.

I'm ploughing thru star trek voyager and now on season 4.
Its been a while since I watched the series. There are way too many padded episodes that are a waste of time. They are nothing but fillers
Each season was around 26 eps which is way too many.
Even so, I am enjoying the series.

"Tiger King" on Netflix. Oddball docu-series. Not for the squeamish :shake:
