I thoroughly enjoyed Sense8; thought it was very creative, well-written & did enjoy the multi-cultural cast & locations, as well. Escapist entertainment of the highest order.

The Bureau (season 2) 2016 A ISIS executioner is also a French citizen so Le Bureau des Heroes has to either capture or eliminate him, Meanwhile Malotru breaks every rule of protocol to help Nadia while Henri (who seems to base his character on Edward G Robinson in Double Indemnity) gets more and more paranoid. This show sets itself up for failure with the usual traps that ruined 24 and Homeland (a teenage daughter, CIA involvement) but wins every time. The last episode of this season must have the greatest ending ever.

The Sound (ABC TV) On paper this should suck. Local bands and singers playing at venues closed down by COVID19. But it works. Even bands I'd cross the road to avoid come over looking like heroes. This show has done more for the local scene in 12 weeks than anything in the last 30 years. Right now Jimmy Barnes is singing with the Australian Chamber Orchestra in the foyer of a huge theatre and it sounds like the apocalypse. No show this year has succeeded so well at presenting art to the masses. Unmissable.

Strange how only first 2 seasons are available.
From surfing the locked threads here it seems the remaining 5 seasons took a while after the first 2 to be released on DVD.
Maybe in 5 years time the others will follow.
    Pretty average quality picture quality.
A couple of my favourite UK TV shows on Amazon (The Sweeney and The Professionals) from the 70's look pristine.

Wait until you get to season 3 and 4.

Haven't watched 5 yet, but unless it completely falls apart in season 5, the Bureau is one of the most - maybe the most - intelligent and creatively conceived and executed series or movies I've seen. They went for the slow burning fuse instead of the gimmicky firecrackers. I understand its based on how the French Secret Service actually operates. If so, amazing and disturbing.

I’m finding this show hilariously bad. A friend warned me the first ep was great and then it quickly nosedived, and I couldn’t agree more. The plot holes and ridiculous twists are like a satire on the suspenseful modern tv miniseries to me. Anyone enjoying this for all the wrong reasons?

I'm halfway through three at the moment. I've got to force myself to go to bed. I don't want it to end.

The guy who plays Raymond is irresistible to all women.

Edit: what about the conversation about taking a dump at work? Tarantino would have died to have written that.

    Watched Garage Squad.

They fixed up a 65 Mustang on one episode and 69 Road Runner on the second episode.

Yes, it's incredibly absorbing if not addictive. Fascinating to go behind the scenes in Raqa, Mosul, Moscow, etc

Mars on Netflix. It's an interesting mix of documentary and fiction about efforts to colonize Mars. I'm enjoying it very much.
