The final season of Vikings on Netflix. That is, I think it's the final season, because it sure felt that way.
I got the first series of Game Of Thrones from a charity shop for a few quid, watched one disc a day. I'd only previously ever seen one episode, which I said was just a bunch of goths playing D&D in the snow. Now I have watched an entire series, and I stand by that opinion. Please do not try to suggest it gets better later on. I'd rather singalong loudly to (insert horrible pop hit here)
Here you are I found all 7 paperbacks in charity shops at £1 to £2 each over the course of a few months. Enjoyed the books as far as they went, but have never watched an episode of the show as I don't have Sky and the hype put me off anyway - sounds like it's gory and gratuitous for sensation.
Coronation Street (I think we're about two weeks behind in Canada)... I sure hope they find Peter Barlow to tell him a suitable liver is waiting for transplant!!! Blimey! And Johnny wants to put The Rovers pub on the market and he just got out of prison!!! Jenny had really blown it. I hope Abi doesn't end up back on drugs! Wasn't that nice of Alina to get Fiz a job at factory? But uh oh, Hope is up to summat...
Season one episode one of Babylon Berlin. I don't really care for that decadent era in Germany, but the show gets rave reviews so I'll stick with it for a while despite the hammy acting.
Are you going to watch the "A Different World" reunion on E!? I think it airs either this coming Thursday, or maybe the next...
I can tell you one thing; the ending was horrible and quite disappointing...the early seasons were better when most things came off...I would never re-watch this...and I do not own it.
I'm told by people who read the books before watching the show that it went off the rails when they ran out of books to adapt, started taking plot shortcuts that the author had avoided (given the various historical contexts that the stories were inspired by). But the author seems to have deliberately left them them in the lurch by not writing the promised two books that would have completed the sequence.
Finished watching "On Becoming a God in Central Florida" on Netflix last night. I was just thinking they had made a satisfying (though far fetched) ending when the final scene flagged up there would be a second season. I won't be watching that. As someone whop dabled in the world of pyramid selling/recruiting schemes a couple of decades ago, a lot of the humour hit home.
obviously the fill in authors knew nothing about how the show should have ended...shame, too much time spent on this all for a terrible ending.
The Mandalorian (sp ?) Season One.. Nicely done....though I really get tired of movies/series where everyone is always saved at the VERY last minute.... give me Saving Private Ryan any day, where everyone doesn't get saved....rings truer....
