Season 1, Episode 21 - Hot In The City: Mike's aggressive former girlfriend Carrie makes him uncomfortable by asking to have a child with him (guest sstar: Daphne Zuniga); a drop in the mayor's approval rating coincides with the reunion of rock musicians.
Season 1, Episode 22 - Home Free: Randall's secret fantasies about a speaker lead the public to believe that he has a heart condition. Is Nikki's new boyfriend George really writing a screenplay or just taking advantage of her?

Classic Albums : Meat Loaf, Bat out of Hell. Meat, Jim and Todd, all interviewed separately, talk about the making of their 1977 album. Roll on the floor funny.

  17. I gave the premiere episode of Mayor Of Kingstown a try on Sunday.

Nope. One exploitation trope after another. After the first 15 minutes, I had an idea of where it was heading...after that, I was sort of in and out of the room...Hot Live Nude Girls, granted (including at least one "obverse full frontal" vag shot, or at least within an ace of it...waitaminute, did I really see that?) But I saw enough to know that it takes more than the occasional porn frame to make up for the absurd premise, simplistic storytelling, sketchy subplots, and cliched dialog. Buckets of blood and the use of the word "****ing" four times in every other sentence do nothing to compensate for that void, or to supply any semblance of authenticity. Not that authenticity counts when the story line is this unrealistic. Jeremy Renner's talents are wasted. To the extent that the same people are involved in this show as are involved in Yellowstone, they're wasted, too. Obviously coasting, from the insulated perspective of a grade-A comfort zone...the writers are no closer to the actual realities on the ground than someone in a 1st Class cabin of a jetliner cruising over a Level 3 pen at 18,000 feet. Mayor Of Kingstown combines the worst, most violent aspects of Yellowstone with a set of premises and scenes as unrealistic as My Favorite Martian. From the opening scene of the a contraband-filled tennis ball batted over the wall into the yard, and the reactions of the inmates and the guard...give me a break.

After finishing Squid Game, I decided to check out Alice in Borderland as suggested by Netflix. The very basic premise of being locked in deadly games is the only similarity. I thought it's not as good as SG, but still pretty good. It took 2 episodes to pull me in. I came that close to giving up on it. I think AiB would've worked better as an anime series.

    Regards,
    Dave
