Yellowstone - The season started off with some high-grade tension and action. They've toned it down with the last 2 episodes but knowing this show, it'll return soon to their high octane ways. Taylor Sheridan is definitely on a roll, watched his Mayor of Kingston featuring Jeremy Renner, Diane Wiest, and Aiden Gillen. It's good but right now it's not great, gotta been there done that type of feel so we'll see.
Ridley Street. 1962 and the Fascists are rising in the UK. A young Jewish girl takes them on after her boyfriend mysteriously disappears. Pretty interesting.
The Andy Griffith Show - "Mayberry Goes Bankrupt" I used to really love this show (1st five seasons, esp. the first four). I dunno anymore....... very nice sentiments, if only real life could be like this
Tales Of The Unexpected. I bought the complete series boxset - 112 episodes - last week. Just the 19 discs..... So far I have managed 1 episode. I love it, reminds me of being spooked as a little kid. EG.
Jesus, what spoilers on this thread.... (at least one, showed the very end of an episode, I don't want to see those posts anymore, glad I know that show)......... I now just saw Perry Mason, an episode called "The Case Of The Shoplifter's Shoe" (odd title), from season 6, it's episode 13, saw it on IMDV TV on Amazon Prime - damn the first commercial came on so LOUD and there was no pause - anyhow this one about a woman (Lorene Tuttle, who was in...well, everything - Psycho, The Munsters, the list goes on forever) - she's shoplifting at the very beginning, and - Spoiler: IMDB synopsis Virginia Trent is having a bad day. Her Aunt is shoplifting, her Uncle George is missing, and diamonds are missing from George's business. When her aunt is charged with murdering an old friend who is a diamond agent, Perry is needed I'm not sure how I came across this, but it had an adult Margaret O'Brien - the cute little girl who knew how to cry at the drop of a hat in a bunch of heart-warming movies (or attempts at ones sometimes)? She played "Tootie" in Meet Me In St. Louis. I watched this 'cause I didn't know what to watch and my Prime is expiring soon, unless I actually renew it. Interesting to see her as an attractive adult woman (saw her once on some game show all grown up on you tube before); if you've seen her as a child actor you can recognize her, almost, maybe. The episode was okay, no big deal.
I've tried to watch some Andy Griffith Show episodes the past few nights but they haven't affected me like they used to (it was one of my very favorite shows years ago), but now one just did: Opie's Charity. (Episode 8) A great, heartwarming story.
Binged a few episodes of Yellowstone, season 1 last night; wife watches it, and company wanted to see some. None of those people are any good, a common complaint I have about recent series TV.
