1923 - A rare misstep for Taylor Sheridan. While I'm a big fan of Harrison Ford and Helen Merrill I don't buy either one of the roles their playing. Compared to Sheridan's masterpiece, 1883, this one is lacking.

A bit of a disappointment but I really liked the last episode with the bird watchers (The Murmuring). Second place goes to episode 3: The Autopsy (which reminded me of the stuff you saw in the Creepy horror comics magazine). Don't see this getting another season.

I saw the Paul Simon tribute show tonight and really enjoyed it. My favorite part was Dave Matthews singing you can call me Al, but the whole thing was quite nice.

Andy Smith .....Like a good pinch of snuff......

Just binged 'Strike: Troubled Blood'. Another twisty-turny masterwork and I didn't guess the murderer - as usual.
Not exactly Christmas tv but can't-turn-away perfection as always.

Tom Clancey's Jack Ryan - 3rd season just dropped on Amazon. It's a fun watch if you dig the whole Bourne/Bond superspy genre. But this Jack Ryan is nothing like the Jack Ryan I've read in so many Tom Clancy novels. Ryan's been done at least 4 times, the only one that I felt was true to the character was Harrison Ford.

22 years after it premiered, I'm finally watching The Sopranos, as we got it on Blu-ray as a shared Xmas present for each other. I'd always been very interested in watching it, but didn't want to get HBO at the time.

Watched the 1st 5 episodes yesterday, & it's often deliberate, slow burn pace increases both the tension & impact of it's often suddenly violent scenes. It's like Tarantino crossed with Scorsese, & I mean that as the highest comp.

Saw the Grinch and Jimmy Fallon's 5 More Sleeps Til Christmas on TV tonight. The Grinch is always wonderful and Jimmy Fallon's special wasn't half bad either.

Daedalus I haven't heard it all.....

“Three Pines”-just finished Season 1. And watching “Perfect Murders”. Both on Amazon prime video.

NYPD Blue. Complete series is 261 episodes, it will take me probably into April to get through it. 44 episodes in and I'm still liking it.
