'A Woman with Soul' - Jerry Butler (1963)

with I guess the Impressions singing backing vocals; an unsuccessful single for Jerry, later recorded by the Impressions as 'Woman's Got Soul' (Billboard #29; r&b #5; 1965)

'People Sure Act Funny (when they get a lotta money)' - Titus Turner (1962)

song credited to Titus Turner on the original 45 on the Enjoy label, but James McDougal was added as co-writer on the 1968 r&b hit by Arthur Conley.

Most subsequent versions proposed that people were acting funny when they got just a little money (including Titus Turner's 1968 remake for Josie, on which the producer Bobby Robinson took the co-writer's credit)

Art Neville - "All These Things" (1962)

A remake (IMHO superior) by Joe Stampley & The Uniques scraped the bottom of the pop chart in 1966.

    All These Things

Joe Stampley did it again in 1976 and this time hit #1 on the country chart

'Come on-a my house' - "originally introduced by" Kay Armen and the Ray Charles Singers (1951)

The song was written for Kay Armen who recorded it first, but Second Hand Songs have Rosemary Clooney's version as the first to be released on 2nd July, 1951 (#1 on Billboard by the end of the month). Other versions released that same month included Ella Fitzgerald, and Kay Starr.
