OK , guys...a certain firm was hired to dispose of the DVD overstocks, excess, returns, etc...instead of doing as hired they sold them to a Dollar store+...of which many benefited form the act of deception... Warner: Destroy, don't sell, these discs - Myce.com Warner Bros. sues company who sold DVDs instead of destroying them
I remember that with Big Lots. I bought a ton of Hanna Barbara shows along with other shows, box sets and movies for $3 each. There were a bunch of Big Lots between my father in law and us so we would hit a bunch of stores when visiting en route. Really scored. I thought that was what you were talking about but the reference to the Dollar Store threw me.
Yeah, Big Lots. That's where I got the DVD of "Zero Hour!" -- the original movie "Airplane!" was based on, with some of the same character names and dialogue, only played seriously.
It’s funny to watch it now after the release of Airplane! I got that in a cheap box set series of B grade movies. Loved them all!
But you know, think what a waste that would have been if they were dumped. There was a lot of fantastic titles. For example I found Justice League the Complete First Season on blu-ray for a couple of bucks. It was crazy all the stuff I picked up. Sad to think they would have been happier burying these things in a landfill.
I agree on all, but that's what they were not hired for...to deceive the company and sell the product behind their backs...
No kidding. I remember those Warner’s DVDs flooding a discount DVD store I frequented. Now I know why. I picked up the complete Thin Man and Val Lewton sets for cheap, among other titles.
I wonder if this is DVD quality, formatted to a blu-ray disc? (1) Monkey’s, The - Blu Ray – Movies R Usa
Doubtful. If it is, they've gotta be SUPER compressed (10 discs slapped onto 2, etc). If anything my guess it's probably the DVD sets put on 2 BD-Rs or a rip of an HD stream. The price isn't so high that it isn't worth a chance.
This one got me, I worked on the Broadway version of Aladdin, and I can assure you that there is no official video of the Broadway musical! Aladdin - Broadway - DVD
