I nominate Little House On The Prairie.

A soap opera without sex, and a western without action.

    The worst of both worlds.

The 1960's tv show "please don't eat the daisies". I double dare you to try and watch an episode all the way thru.

    Hmmm...interesting thought.

For a 2 season show, "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" still managed to make it to UHF reruns in the 1970s.

I don't remember loving or hating the reruns.

Honestly I think I could make it through 1 episode because of Pat Crowley.

    A Dog's Show.

Basically a sheepdog trials show that screened on Saturday nights here in New Zealand, back in the '2 TV Channel' days...

I liked the show as a kid, but it's kind of a run-of-the-mill sitcom about a big family with mischievous kids, no worse than a dozen others. I did like the episode where there were cameos with the stars of Man from U.N.C.L.E. (made by the same production company on the MGM lot).

I remember a show in the 70’s called Hot L Baltimore about a bunch of regulars living at a hotel. Maybe I was too young to get the humor.

    Republic of Doyle?

How the characters didnt have brain damage by season 2 after getting knocked unconscious twice per episode...

I would say this is not a show I watched but one my other half did. So you know the score it's always on in the evening before teatime. She worked through all 6 tedious seasons on Netflix. It was painful for me.

If people are getting knocked unconscious, it's already got more action than Little House

I liked it as a kid. It is really a series for children, I think, which are heavily featured. It is based on a series of books from the late 19th century, so raunchy sex is not an option. It is really an idealized and heavily sanitized depiction of life in rural (white) America in the 19th century. It is not something that you have to like, but it is hard to figure out how to turn that series into something else than what it is, given its background (and Michael Landon's beliefs).

Ha, I remember PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISIES as being boring, even by the very low standards of a grade school kid home sick from school. There was so little narrative motion or action, I found the show incomprehensible. I had no idea what the premise of the show was or what the relationships were between characters.

There was also THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER and a few others that were strangely diffuse.

Curb Your Enthusiasm. Every episode is the same. People getting agitated with each other, just constant moaning.
