There are so many. But ever since I was a kid I could watch No Time For Sergeants over and over and still laugh out loud.

"He put 'em together didn't he?"

"But he did it all wrong..."

I'll go with Casablanca as well. Also, Blade Runner and Lawrence of Arabia - but these two have to be the blu rays to fully take in the beautiful/interesting scenery.

That's a great choice. I've probably seen it a half-a-dozen times, myself. I recently introduced my 14 year old to it and he loved it very much.

That's the one film I debated putting on my list. I've probably seen it 10+ times; certain passages maybe three times that. I would categorize it as my favorite movie ever and probably what I consider to be among the 5 or 10 best movies I've ever seen. I only hesitated because there are for sure some slower parts of 2001 and personally I don't know if it would meet my criteria that I mentioned in my OP. Although it's close.

It's a great choice though. High art.

It's funny, I think The Quiet Man is John Ford's best movie. I saw it many years after having seen the other notables on cable and so forth.

Honorary Mention: Apollo 13 - Have seen more than I might have because it's one of my wife's favorites, but it is surprisingly re-watchable. Having one of the best casts of all time doesn't hurt either.
