Anyone knows if the song titled "curly where is your girly?" presented as "early alternate mix" on the 3 cds box set is the same version than the one appeared on the release of "shazam" (Cherry red records) as part of the 2nd cd (BBC sessions 22nd april 1969) many thanks people!
Curly is an absolute cracker of a pop song and the middle 8 is so tiny and perfect. It might help if you were a bit more specific about the 3CD set. Are we talking about Movements or another set? I know I've got an 'alternate' Curly somewhere but The Move have had a bunch of re-issues and expanded sets and I've lost track of what's where.
sorry! i forgot to mention the name of the box set! yes, "movements" (cd 2) sounds the same than the BBC version of the song presented on the (again) second cd of the expanded edition of Shazam (by Cherry red label)
Not the same, the alternate mix from the Movements box has the first verse double tracked from the start, but the single version and the BBC track have the vocal at the beginning only single tracked. Same backing track for all three though.
