I saw Tesla live in 2012. At the time they were selling soundboard CD sets of the show you just saw for like $25. They make a nice companion to the above Comin' Atcha Live DVD.
Such a great album; one of their best. It needs remixing by someone who can really do it justice; this might sound crazy but if it could 'sound' vaguely as balanced as Thin Lizzy's Jialbreak, I could greet Øden as a contented entity.
Sometimes, I simply cannot be bothered so opt for an easy option; easy, in the sense of an uncompromised, metallic hit.
Now you've got me listening to these mid-to-late 00s bands. Chained Up In Chains? As soon as I read the title, I had to hear the song.
Just wasted about 2 minutes trying to assemble an original era, single disc, Tesla comp for the phone & truck. Can't be done, too many good tunes would be left off. So I did the easy thing, loaded up the two disc version of RePlugged Live.
Tesla’s Bust A Nut is a favorite of mine. Bands like Tesla came up with great albums in the mid 90’s given the change in music landscape.
Was never into Tesla back then. I may just have to reconsider. Nice. On another note. Hey @GodShifter hope all's been well with you & the guys. Blessed Be, Iam.
the bust a nut album is super underrated. has my favorite tune by them "a lot to lose" though its not heavy and the rest of the album is
I'll have to check it out. I heard something on MTV back then, couldn't tell you what, and said Nope. LoL, I'll give it a go. Thanks brother.
This is old news to Gojira fans but From Mars to Sirius is an absolute masterpiece IMO. One of my favorites.
Nobody asked but here are my 5 favorite metal albums right now: Gojira - From Mars To Sirius In Flames - The Jester Race Opeth - Blackwater Park Pestilence - Consuming Impulse Pantera - Vulgar Display Of Power
Current vinyl rotation: Priest - Stained Class Pantera - Vulgar Display Maiden - Powerslave Deep Purple - Made in Japan
No doubts there. Although, there isn't a LOT I would change on a new mix. There isn't a lot you can do to Motörhead's stuff without changing their signature sound too much. However, I would agree that the solo parts on this album probably need some work. Clean up the bass tone a bit and push the solos a bit more forward in the mix would do wonders for the album.
1, 3 & 4 - {In fact, I was spinning Powerslave last night; oh, how I miss the Birchwerk.} #2 eluded me, comprehensively.
I am listening to Iron Maiden's Somewhere In Time and the song "Deja Vu" is played so fast that it always makes me think it is skipping.
