I'm sure that there is a lot more that I play that she rarely says anything about, but if my wife hears the first :30 seconds of Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" and that usually gets a "not THAT again"! It is about ten minutes too long, to be honest, so I can't completely fault her.

I can't say I love Michael McDonald, I certainly respect and appreciate him, but all I need to do is a brief imitation of his distinct vocal style to send her running for the hills.

Pretty much if I like it, she can’t stand it. And I guess I feel the same about hers. I’m straight ahead r&r, she’s 80-90’s pop with that bro country stuff thrown in.
Sure is great that love trumps all.

One thing my wife and I have in common is we cannot stand that guy. I'd get some strange looks if I was rocking MM. I should try it :>

The only one I can think of is whenever I listen to Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians she says it makes her tense due to the lack of harmonic resolution. I find it quite relaxing to listen to.

I've posted about this before, but my wife will clear the room immediately if I even mention King Crimson's "Earthbound". Therefore, I own it on vinyl and CD.

She also has aversion to guys singing falsetto, so she usually turns her nose up if the Bee Gees or Beach Boys are playing.

My wife is not a fan of Deep Purple or Grand Funk, to name a few. I’ve been told that Deceptive Bends by 10cc “is one of the worst records I’ve ever heard you play”.

Kind of Blue - led to my obsession with Evans along with my obsession of Miles. Such a great combo - blue in green.

I'm very happy with this vinyl set: Which is the last time I believe he played with Scott LaFaro - very sad.

That is weird (the 'making tense' bit, not the 'relaxing' bit). Mrs K-G actually likes some Steve Reich; 'Electric Counterpoint' is among her most played on her iPod.
Anyway, can't single out one piece in particular, but I don't think there's any of my Frank Zappa that she likes. I do vaguely remember playing 'Inca Roads' one time and saying this is phenomenal, she just thought it was a din.

Do you get the same sense of excited panic that I do when you get the house to yourself?

I start rifling through my CDs trying to find the maddest thing I can put on, it's quite an intense feeling.

Anything by Tom Waits. She can't stand his voice.

But I get to be free of Jack Johnson and The Indigo Girls so I'm OK with it :)
