Recently upgraded from a Soundsmith Zephyr MIMC Star to a Dynavector XV-1S. Got about 50 hours or so on it now, and loving it!

By pure chance, I could upgrade my Philips F7222 to an entirely different beast yesterday:

A Dual CS-5000. After setting everything up, it now works like a dream.

Nice! First decent turntable I ever bought - 40 years ago! Mine had the woodgrain plinth.

Basis Audio 1400. Picture is with a Dynavector lomc cartridge but I generally run a Benz Micro Glide M2. Combined with an Allnic phono stage, its all my old ears need.

Oh yes, it's a really solid deck. That wood version seems to be very rare these days.

Hi, may I ask you what does the poster on the wall behind the turntable represent? I noticed an address of Milano...

This older photo before I reorganized the gear shows the poster. It's from an old Columbia Records ad.[IMG]

What are those things on top of your Nova? Do you keep the air compressor in the same room? Very noisy, or is it off most of the time and running on a tank?

    Linear arm. Pneumatic?
How about the platter? Is it 'floating', air bearing?
