here has different woods The price has gone way up in the month or two He does delivery quick and easy to install. Search the large Technics thread for more info SL 1200/1210 GR Mongoy Noble Wood Plinth for Technics. - Etsy
Aren't those just decorative wood bases the Technics just sets in. Overpriced for me for decoration w/o any real purpose because it's not really a plinth.
it's real purpose is decorative It is just a 'thing' it doesn't really sit in it, it rests on brackets on the feet, it's more or less floating
My new Wand 14/4 Turntable with Wand Master 12 Inch Tonearm and matching Wand EQ Phonostage. (The record weight does nothing, I just think it looks nice sitting on the EQ.) Now I need a wider rack so I can have my Lenco beside the 14/4.
Much better looking Technics now but you now need a bigger isolation platform under it, sorry . It's just too small to be aesthetically pleasing .
It might be replaced If not I plan on having stone cut same dimension as the wood enclosure with counter sink holes for the feet so the stone to wood gap is ~ 1/2" can't use granite, too heavy Sandstone? Not much lighter Might have to be a custom butcher block
The Red is sublime - punches well above its weight class. Effortless resolution. And yes, that is a Layne Staley candle
The Umami Red looks like a killer cartridge, glad to hear it impresses the ears too. Maybe some day. I'd like my next step to be the AT ART20, but that should be a ways off as I've got myself pretty well supplied at this point. I also feel like I should get more opulent speakers and some room treatments before I go dropping $3k on a cartridge. I just happened to be listening to my copy of Jar of Flies when I spotted your candle. That's a pretty tight offering. I like your style. Cheers.
The 1950s called. They want their room—and their stereo—back. Man, that is true classic beauty! Does it all work as originally intended?
I received the Miniot Wheel 2 a few weeks ago. Here it is before I connected it. Sounds very good and deals with off center records fabulously—it does this by varying its rotational speed to make up for out-of-round pressings. I paid for it something like 5 years ago, preordering from the website. I had no idea it would be stuck in development hell for so long, but I’m glad the finished product turned out so well.
better? Deciding whether I want to mill the holes for the feet. Heavy (30 lb) and easy to level with threaded feet. Hard maple is a pita to stain!
