My apologies for the mess. I'm still moving back into the listening room and things are everywhere. Anyway, if one knew how cheaply I acquired each of these tables, one would understand why I don't mind spending what seems like "silly" money to take them as far as they can be taken. All have "useless" mods completed or in the works. Better pics when mods and room setup are complete. Main: Technics SL-1200MK2 / Trans-Fi T3 Pro Terminator (arm) / Mike New Audio (bearing) / etc. and an SL-1200M3D with KAB Fluid Damper Thorens TD 150 MK II AB (next to my trusty Hakko 936; wanting to go the VinylNirvana route with this one) Technics SL-M3 and two more SL-1200MK2's (under 2 Edison discs; one with SME armboard) Dual 1019 (hiding under pile-o-records) Not shown: Technics SL-1500MK2, SL-1400MK2, replinthed SL-150MK2 and another SL-1200M3D
Crappy pic, but thanks. Fortunately, this arm is now, again, in production... ...although I'm also torn between a 9" Schick and SME M2-9R as upgrades for other decks. Plus I just saw VPI's new DD. It's a good time to be in this hobby (or a terrible time if you're married to someone in the hobby).
I fantasized owning $1500-$2k turntables, but could only afford a demo Thorens TD-203 w/ Ortofon 2m Blue cartridge which I think is a very fine turntable. I'm practicing contentment. (So sorry, I can't figure how to add a photo)
Actually with my system and being so big with see though racking, the black twigs are cable management. They hide cables, I use them for routing to keep wires separated, and they also break up sound waves around the table, that can cause feedback in the system.
Camera skills suck...... Three Technics 1200s’ Two old as baseball ones, and one early mod 2000 mkII BLAXK ONE. no issues, still perfect. Did buy a small plastic screw in piece for the back of the tomearm. All three perfect! Well over 20+ on each, still spunk’s amazing.
