I am in audio heaven with my new Michell Gyro SE with an Ortofon Cadenza Blue on a SME IV arm. Fits well in the interior too!
Thanks; The 12 volt strip lights under the tt use a dimmer which I use once the platter is spinning. This eliminates the need for me to have an overhead light which I would eventually somehow manage to knock over.
It is a platform made by bFly audio in Germany. It was actually specifically designed to carry a Thorens 321, my previous TT. N.b. However the Gyro fits as well! N.b. They also have a custom design for the LP12 and general platforms.
Any more observations comments about the GR? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger. What TT's did you have in the past and how does it stack up?
I had a lot of vintage TTs. Pioneer PL-512, Sony PS-X75....etc. wanted something new and bought a AT LP-1240. The GR is awesome in every way. Miles better hardware and sound wise than anything I have owned.
Funny, I had a PL-512 back in 79/80 with an empire cartridge. A fantastic TT and miles better than any of the cheapos made today.
Nice ! Beocenter 8500/9000/9300/9500 sitting underneath ? I am guessing an 8500 from the darker, non shiny alu panels ?! I still use my 9500 daily as it is the world's best alarm clock to have in one's bedroom !
Cool... It's actually the Beogram 3000 with a retipped MMC1 by Audio Origin in the UK..I've had many turntables in my long years but prefer B&O...
Sorry misunderstood, you are right it's the Beocentre 8500 - well spotted, I also use the amiophonic unit with the 3000 wall panel speakers and the RL 35's...
