Looks like you’d get more than 5 LPs in that box. Maybe space to include some marbles?

well, it does seem the PTB need reminding (chain memo);) .. 'Message In a Box' is decent, though I don't think it quite matches the Japanese original releases on CD.

When isn't a Japanese pressing better? I know that's probably a thread on its own but, just sayin'.

I would not bet against this prediction. It would be Earth-shaking if the boys produced a new single to really make those sets fly.

Grahamstuartcanada We play two kinds of music “new” and “wave”

I have for a long long time wanted an improved box set- with cool photography (by Janette B and Andy) and all the stuff and more on the boxset including the unreleased de do do do 1986 to go along with the don't stand- and live stuff like hatfield for sure. But most of all I want them to include Police Around the World a live video I adored as a teen... Funny I think the band's idea of re doing their own songs seems really strange now. hard to believe that there are not some unheard tunes in the vault somewhere...early demos acoustic demos, versions of songs with different vocals - like once upon a Daydream did Sting-o ever attempt that... I'd love to know more about the recording of any of their albums- there are so many cool stories, sitting on the piano and laughing and leaving it in Roxanne, Stewart's home recording set up picking up opera that he left in for Does Everyone Stare- I bet there are many unknown stories- it seems they are a band that have damaged their status over time- I hate to write that, but lots of repackaged samey greatest hits over the years just doesnt do it... We want something new and cool. I would shell out for that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a Rarities disc or two as well.

  11. This, this, THIS!!! I've got the Klark Kent disc on a legit CD, but I'd repurchase an expanded edition in a heartbeat.

Would love to see them reconvene in the studio to completely rework the classic tracks, as was planned back in '86. It's probably past the point if being a viable project now, but all three of them are active and apparently still sharp enough musically to pull it off.

It could be interesting, but I love the late-70's, early-80's sound of the originals. It is not an issue of reminiscing about the past, rather, the sound of those records were just so great. Not sure I would want to hear that music reworked as contemporary arrangements. That said, I agree that they are active and sharp enough to record something viable, and some new material could be very fascinating if they were ever able to reconvene long enough in a studio to collaborate.

I'mm also interested in what the missing tracks were as well. The only one I know off the top of my head is recording of "Truth Hits Everybody" from 1983 that was released as a b-side.

A 'Re:Call-disc' with the (studio) non-album tracks, is the sixth I guess.

Interesting. Can't find any other info about this except the Amazon link. So it will be 6 vinyl lp's, $199.98, release date October 26, 2018. Anyone else hear anything about this? Are these remasters?

My wish would be to have a new extended version of Around The World/In The East.
Surely a lot more footage was shot from all the various concerts and off stage antics.
