Anyone remembers The Homosexuals? A very very underrated English band from the (post-punk's) first wave. Here are the liner notes to their comprehensive collection Astral Glamour that was originally released on 3CDs.

One the most intense band to come out of L.A.

Talk about down in Flames! Loaded, drunk, and couldn't play and they could care less. In my opinion, this band in '77 marked the end of the first wave.

The Death to the Art Punk sound that was Television etc.

Did anyone here on the forum see these guys live back in the day?

This video is part of the documentary The Decline of Western Civilization (Which is probably the best punk doc out there! So watch that!)

Always loved Totally Useless by Psykik Volts since hearing it around the time of it's release on John Peel's show. He liked it himself and played it a number of times.

He more than just the father figure of punk and rock and roll. He worked with artists such as Motörhead and even Daft Punk.

They're great! I myself couldn't get away from listening to Bauhaus today. In the Flat Field, Mask, and Burning from the Inside. So much to the point where I'm looking to buy that 5 Album 2013 Beggars Banquet release CD Box Set from the analog tapes. I want to find the LPs though, I have no room on my shelf for another CD Box Set lol.

Missed first wave, was too much of a Deadhead in the 70s - lived in Olympia WA early to mid 1980s, caught a great wave - mainly at a tiny hole in the wall called The Tropicana, Black Flag, Saccharine Trust, B-hole Surfers, Jodie Fosters Army, Fastbacks (great punk girl outfit), Agent Orange, Wipers, one of Screaming Trees first gigs. . . and more and a bunch of local and regional groups including mine (names witheld to protect the innerscent . . .only clue is we were part of the line-up at the Battle of The Blue House) Seattle-Portland (The Satyricon! killer good place) same time frame: Meat Puppets (best show EVEr), Dead Kennedys, Crucif-ks, Hüsker Dü. The Pacific NW was flyin!

Tried to see X in 82 but the line was too long - finally saw them a couple years ago, they were fantastic.

By far the most exhilarating few years of rock in my life, other than 73-76.

    Intense!

This was one of the first minimal synth albums I heard as well :D

I really enjoyed Anyway by Oto:

I like the guitar work. The jagged sounds suit the mood.
