The 2-sided insert (as released in the UK) looks like:

So I am curious what the other 2 sides look like on your 4-page insert.

I never cared as much for Now Look. I prefer Gimme Some Neck followed by I've Got My Own Album To Do.

  4. I've always liked Now Look. "Caribbean Boogie" is a great funky grease bomb. Mac is all over this album! Kenny Jones plays drums on "Caribbean Boogie". Keith is on two tracks. Don't get me started on Bobby Womack. He's all over this album too. It's right up there with Anymore for Anymore by Ronnie Lane. Two great post Faces albums.

Is that Woody's teen Russian girlfriend from a few years back?

Sigh. If you unfold it you have one front side with graphics, right. And if you turn it you have two blank sides, right. 2+2 is 4, right. I was trying to make a small joke but obviously it flew right by (you). Geez. :)

So you were making a small joke? It certainly went over my head.

    I figured that much.

    Don't worry. Won't happen again. :)

Lol, sure looks like her, but she wasn't even born yet when he was doing "Got My Own Album To Do"

Nope, pretty sure Tinkerbell wasn't born yet when Ron did his first solo album

  12. Nobody ever said that Tinker Bell had anything to do with Woodpecker's first solo album. Doesn't anybody read anymore?

Dude, I just quoted your post above where you say it's I've Got My Own Album To Do
and I'm pretty sure that was Ron's first solo album

Okay, I get it - maybe you just got album titles mixed up

  14. Here was what I wrote:

"Tinker Bell! She brought out --ahem!--the best in him with his album I Feel Like Playing. It's my favorite of all his albums, and I have her to thank for taking care of my rock and roll main man the Woodpecker."

I'm afraid that I'm not the one that's mixed up. Someone doesn't pay attention very well.

This was a short but sweet album by album thread. I gotta thank the contributors to it for helping me contextualize and enjoy Ronnie's discography. :righton: I'm definitely happy I took the time for it.

Does anybody know what happened to OP? They haven't logged in for a couple years...

Edit: I see they posted new music on their linked website in 2019, that's good.

Any word on original UK or USA for where Now Look vinyl was mastered?

Just over a week to go before the Red Vinyl IGMOATD arrives at my door.

    Not him again!

PS-message Ronnie and tell him it's about time he stopped caring for his young wife and daughters and gives us a new solo album to discuss!

  23. The Woodpecker is a goaty horned guitarist. I could care less whom or what he does. He is making better music than the Stones these days. I even like his Chuck Berry tribute album better than anything by The Glimmer Twins. No schmaltzy syrup with the Pecker! He lays it on the line, and he delivers straight-ahead rock and roll. BTW, Amazon has his latest vinyl for nine bucks. That's a great price for an imported vinyl lp.

The Woodpecker! I did enjoy his Chuck tribute album but I'm greedy and would love a new solo studio album! C'mon Ronnie, you're sober, let's make up for lost time!

Finally picked up a copy of this yesterday (tried to get a copy last year, but wasn't successful):

I know a couple of folks have referred to this lp already, but it hasn't really been discussed to the extent his other lps have, and that IS supposed to be the raison d'être for this thread, right? I haven't had a chance to really dive in yet, but my first impression is that it's REALLY good! I saw Imelda May with Jeff Beck at the Fillmore Auditorium a few years back, and she really delivers the goods here! She got rid of her silly beehive too!
