I've never seen this before. Uploaded 6 days ago;
Timely as I'm listening to them a LOT the last few days!
I saw them on that tour. Very impressive live group. IMO as good as KISS around that time
(and much easier on the eyes).
I remember Creem having a hysterical picture of Cherrie holding the mike in a very obscene and funny place, not sure what the caption was. the magazine really gave them a lot of press.
Whatever happened to that Guitarist?
You don't sing and dance in juvie, honey.
Very cool..Just listened to Marc Maron's interview with Joan Jett this morning. I want to see the "Bad Reputation" documentary once it plays my area.
CBGB's was a mecca!
Let's make this an all things Runaways thread. Listening to my cassette of this great boot album.
question : who's the gal second from left, between Joan and Sandy ?
I'm not recognizing her as a Runaway.
wow its amazing the stuff that turns up these days, (the vu 1969 cli[ as well)
Hmmmm......gonna consult the experts and get back to you!
Today was a great day in the Cherie Currie Fan club FB page. Someone started uploading clips of isolated tracks from multi-tracks. We heard Cherie's isolated vocals for American Nights and Cherie and Joan's microphone feed to the soundboard from All Right You Guys from Live in Japan.
and here's another question .....
is that Laurie McAllister in this pic ?
What I got so far is "Peggy" the bassist before Jackie Fox.
I have coming in the mail all four shows complete from Koseinenkin-Kaikan Tokyo, Japan June 5/6 1977.
A-ha !..... Peggy Foster, was only there for about a month post-Micki Steele....
and is that Sandy with Joan ?
Sure appears to be.
Sans fishnet, but still effective.
Separate names with a comma.
