That boot I posted/recently found is the actual show. It came out about 20 years ago and was a limited edition of 100 copies. You'd think the audio would have surfaced but somehow it hasn't. I've looked and looked and major Runaways collectors I know have never seen it around either except the actual album which they've never copied/circulated. I'll likely change all that shortly.
Well, it's written in stone, and performed passionately on the live in Japan album: I am the BITCH with the HOT GUITAR, I wanna be where the BOYS ARE!!!
Maybe you should do that and have a gort change the thread title. use the report button. As you know, there is a similar "great or mediocre?" thread going here too.
It's a line from "I Want To Be Where The Boys Are" - "I am the bitch with the hot guitar, I am the L.A. sonic star." Later she'd switch "hot guitar" to "white guitar". A good candidate for the misheard lyrics thread.
first time I've heard this song..... fan-tastic video ! well, I think now that I'm destined soon to acquire my first Runaways cd..... starting with their first.
Avoid the 2010 Japanese SHM-CDs issued to promote the movie. The one you want is this one; The Runaways - The Runaways / Queens Of Noise The debut is VERY close to the original US vinyl. I haven't had an original QON on vinyl in ages but this CD sounds excellent in that regard also.
Yeah maybe. There was a discussion about this somewhere, seemed more people thought it was "air, sun and stars..." but who knows?
It's not "air, sun and stars". Lyrics are more clear in the original version by Venus and the Razorblades. Jett changes the location in the line to L.A. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zek4-jgeJEk
Looking at this photo reminded me of an article written by Jackie Fox. "Joan in late 1975 was a perfectly ordinary Valley girl. You would never have looked at her and thought you were seeing a future rock star..." Why Barack Obama Reminds Me of Joan Jett | HuffPost
this is terrific. cherry bomb was great! why not cherry bomb redux. and yeah. "you dont sing and dance in juvie, honey" is classic.
