All Things "The Runaways" Appreciation & General Discussion!

That boot I posted/recently found is the actual show. It came out about 20 years ago and was a limited edition of 100 copies. You'd think the audio would have surfaced but somehow it hasn't. I've looked and looked and major Runaways collectors I know have never seen it around either except the actual album which they've never copied/circulated. I'll likely change all that shortly.

"I am the bitch with the hot guitar, I am the L.A. sonic star."
Later she'd switch "hot guitar" to "white guitar".

This is a common "hearing" of that line. The Japanese lyric sheet says "air, sun and stars".

 

Done.

 

They got several lyrics wrong on that sheet.

well, I think now that I'm destined soon to acquire my first Runaways cd..... starting with their first.

 

Cool! two weeks before I was born! they played Aug 2 and AUg 3.

 

Avoid the 2010 Japanese SHM-CDs issued to promote the movie. The one you want is this one;

The debut is VERY close to the original US vinyl. I haven't had an original QON on vinyl in ages but this CD sounds excellent in that regard also.

 

Yeah maybe. There was a discussion about this somewhere, seemed more people thought it was "air, sun and stars..." but who knows?

 

It's not "air, sun and stars". Lyrics are more clear in the original version by Venus and the Razorblades. Jett changes the location in the line to L.A.
