  7. I already have the original show, though like most copies out there now it's several generations down. It will be fantastic to finally see it in as good of quality as I remember from several movie theatre showings I've seen.

And while they're at it, how about "The Big TNT Show" as well? I also have the original version of this, and while it's not nearly as epochal - and host David McCallum's (of "The Man From Uncle" fame) segments are a hoot - there's still a lot of great stuff, including Ray Charles, Ike and Tina, the Ronettes, Bo Diddley, the Byrds, the Lovin' Spoonful, Roger Miller, etc. Let's have it!

And while they're at it, how about the Rolling Stones 1972 tour film "Ladies and Gentlemen - the Rolling Stones" - oops, wake me up, I must be dreaming...

If liscenseing music for video is such an expensive hassle, why is this only $10??--Somebody,please-'SPLAIN!!!

Licensing becomes expensive usually only when it's for existing recordings -- e.g., using a Kinks track on a Sopranos DVD.

I'm sure someone knows the whole story, but I suspect each TAMI performer received a one-time fee for their performance in the film, with no provisions for things like home video releases.

I'm pretty sure it's in general. That's one major reason most variety shows have never been released.

Any idea about the sound? Original mono? Some sort of 5.1 like the Elvis Ed Sullivan set, which was fake (obviously)? Both?

Dont know about the sound. I liked the Live feed process though used on the Elvis disc. If they arent using this process hopefully it will be something jsut as good.

I have the Elvis set, but didn't know about the LiveFeed process, it did seem surprisingly clear.
