“The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” — full episode from 1968.

The link did not work but led to a 1972 show with original commercials.
Guests were James garner, Ed Sullivan and Bruce Dean. Surprised that show was a clunker. The commercials were interesting. The showed two at a time and they were short. Later the commercials seemed to get longer and longer on carson.

 

This is great. The older the shows, the more interesting to me. Anything from 1978 or before.

 

Shout Factory TV on the Roku and maybe other platforms has a Johnny Carson channel.

 

You can watch them on Shout's web site too. But nothing from the '60s. Shout episodes also have edits done to them as compared to the same episodes rerun on Antenna TV that seem complete.
