The description of this week's 'Illumina-Tee' is almost as funny as the show itself! "It’s true… it’s all true! And here is THE PROOF! Feast your Eye of Providence on the shadowy super-truth of our latest Shirt Club offering! You don’t need the secret password to gain entry into this sexy secret gathering, you just need $20 (USD). Drape yourself in this dark charcoal heather tri-blend vestment and spook the bejeezus out of your conspiracy nut “friends” (the ones you unfriended last year), who will no doubt gladly explain to you the numerological significance of the 8 feathers on the owl’s tail—THE OWL! A KNOWN MASONIC SYMBOL! Or the 5 O’s found in the untranslatable banners, which are probably anagrams anyway. Count the bricks in the pyramid—DO YOU THINK THAT’S COINCIDENCE? Each shirt is carefully printed by blindfolded sex slaves (who are then summarily executed), using real liquid sterling silver from melted down 1794 silver dollars.* *Not really"
And nobody has talked about the surprise celebrity voice in the latest episode... 'The Venture Bros': Yup, That Clown's Voice Was Who You Thought It Was
I saw Mark's name on the end credits. There have many guest voices on the show like Stephen Colbert as Professor Impossible(in the character's first appearance).
I just rewatched the episode (great episode!), the amazon (soon to be bluray version) and it is 100% uncensored.
For sure, he was great in both roles for this episode, especially the lluminati red robed fellow. It reminded me of his voice work on Metalocalypse.
Well..... of course, not as good as the last three....BUT.... I AM getting the impression that Dr. Mrs. The Monarch and The Monarch might be 'splits-ville', leaving Garry to consider where his loyalties will lay...or lie... you know what I mean....
Well, as I've said before; The music jokes are a bit more 'pedestrian' that I want, but... in this day and age, beggars can't be choosers.... Nice twist with Sirena!
I just watched the episode and I must say the humor has been toned down in the past 2 episodes. We're coming up close to the season finale.
It sure did! I'm hoping for a double length episode, but I'd highly doubt that's gonna happen. I expect Hank to be going bonkers on this last episode.
It's the little things; LOVE the way they used all those different 'echo settings' during Broc's speech!
Super soild episode. Great ending for this season. Didn't feel so much like a season finale, more like yet another great episode moving things along. Loved how things went with Monarch and Gary. Dean's confessions to Hank were tight and it does seem Hank is on the move! It also seems obvious what the last tshirt of the week will be.?.
I assume it'll be what all the guild members were wearing......right? The best part, for me, was seeing, at the end of the credits, in all=caps, "THE VENTURE BROS. WILL RETURN"
I was less than satisfied with this season and this episode in particularly. No real cliffhanger in the finale but a few loose plot threads left dangling. Somehow, I get the feeling Doc and Jackson might be wrapping up the series soon. It has to be one of the longest running series on AdultSwim.
