Yeah, this is one I will likely be voting for soon. In fact, I went back and forth over "Faithfully" and "Open Arms," and decided "Faithfully" had a slight edge in overall quality, but the lyrics are pretty terrible, so perhaps I made the wrong choice.

  2. "Girl Can't Help It"
    "Send Her My Love"

Pretty innocuous songs to vote out.

Greatest Hits covers some good ground. I have the expanded 2 CD set. I should pick up this vinyl, I suppose.
I miss "Walk Like a Lady" on this comp. Likely my favorite single of theirs...it was a single, right?
Also did they have any hits until Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'?

Some of these songs are untouchable. I'm offended "Wheel " has 5 votes.

My thoughts to the letter exactly. Although I would add a vigorous defence of the remaining Raised on Radio tracks.

Walks like a Lady reached the dizzy heights of no 32 in the U.S. charts in 1980.

Definitely agree that it's a fine song! :righton:

I am amazed that Girl Can't Help It is in the lead, with Send Her My Love pretty close behind. IMO these are some of SP's best ever vocals.

Sorry! I'm one of the guilty 5 (now 7) reprobates who voted for WITS along with Who's Cryin' Now.

I don't hate it, I don't mind it, but I really don't need to hear it ever again. I'm not sure it's earned its place in the Dirty Dozen, especially ahead of superior tracks like Still They Ride. With apologies to Mr Fleischman

For my money, those were the only 2 possible strikeouts out of a really strong list - but the strength of the Journey songbook means this was always gonna be a tough question!

  11. Well, I definitely thought it charted better than that. Now I understand why it didn't make the cut. Thanks for the research @carlwm

    You're Welcome. :righton:

Still think Walks Like a Lady deserves its place on the album though!
