Yeah they only played a few dates in the US that year. Boston and New York on the east coast and then later two dates in California and two in Hawaii. But sandwiched in between was their first ever performance in Japan and their first in Australia since 1968.

I had assumed that the “glorious girl” song’s title is unknown—I believe it’s the one with the guitar duet.

Break The News sounds right for Simon’s song.

I have no idea how many songs there are on the new album. Roger mentioned Pete giving him 12 demos, but he (Roger) didn’t like all of them.

What’s the 3-man Beatles song? All For Love? Now and Then? Did they mention releasing one of those recently???

A self-title album (i.e “The Who”) is better than calling the album “Who”.

Off topic again, but I don't think I had actually seen footage from this TV performance, just still photos. Seems to be live vocals and live bass playing along to the recordings:

This is also cool. I wonder what this footage is from? Was this an actual (lost) "Little Billy" promo vid??? Or did somebody just set "Little Billy" to this footage recently (perhaps this is footage from the lost "Dogs" promo?)

I will admit that my post was not as advertised. Pete was just getting warmed up. The Quad set had more energy. I posted this MSG clip earlier in the thread.

I was at the Alpine Valley show tonight. Roger and Pete were in great form tonight. Great set list. I’ve been staying away from cell phone videos of the tour so I could experience the new songs for the first time tonight. Hero Ground Zero and Ball and Chain were both very strong. Can’t wait for the album!

So... I understand why Zak is playing a fully electronic kit. But that being said, with the full control the sound engineers have over everything, being there are no acoustic drums and cymbals; I don’t understand the choice to mix the drums and cymbals to be virtually inaudible. I was about 30 rows back and there was zero drive. Zak was certainly working hard.

I'd wager that this was around the time they were thinking of making a Monkees-style TV show; looks like Chris Morphet footage......

I had to make an account here for the sole purpose of saying that I completely disagree with this review. I was at the Alpine Valley show, and it was fantastic through and through. Roger sounded great, and any vocal troubles he may have had a few days before in Toronto were completely absent to my ears. I can say that he definitely had an ON night in Alpine Valley. If you're a Who fan, go see them on this tour. Don't miss out. The show is fantastic.

Honestly, I doubt it will be "Who".

"Moving On" wouldn't be a bad title, especially if they think this will be their studio album swan song.

I'm not certain, but I think that is "Balls and Chain" aka Guantanamo

I’m certain it is “Ball and chains” and it sounds pretty epic!

I’m getting very excited about this album. I’ve tried to resist, but these two new songs are really starting to get stuck in my head now.

Honestly, I wonder if that's the cover artwork. The pop art question mark. It looks like something Sir Peter Blake might make. It'd fit if the album is called Who.

Some great riffing from Townshend in that teaser clip. The guy's tone is magical. @johnny moondog 909, maybe you've been on to something all along! ;)

Pete introduced the song as Big Cigars in NYC.
Pete mentioned in an interview that "Ball And Chain" is a title Roger preferred.

I do like the tune a lot more than Hero Ground Zero.
Has kind of a David Gilmour latter day Floyd sound to it, imo....

You think the album cover is the question mark.

Or, are you thinking the cover is a compilation of previously releaesed Who albums- including the question mark.

I think the album cover COULD BE that pop art question mark.
