Nope but if the band that wrote the songs only play one song from those two albums in their live set it tells you theyre not to fond of said albums.

I like their first two albums (and especially Sultans of Swing of course), but the first side of this album was on a whole new level for this band. It doesn't get much better than Tunnel of Love - Romeo & Juliet - Skateaway. Too bad that the second side wasn't equally strong, otherwise this would have been my absolute favourite album of theirs.

I agree, though theirs was a gradual evolution which peaked with Superunknown imo.

I prefer Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, which set the template for all the electric music Neil has done since, and it features more of Danny Whitten and is more cohesive. But hey, Goldrush is a fantastic album too.

Well, I have different taste in music to Mr Bon Jovi.

Love the first two. I could probably make a decent compilation out of the next two but it was seriously diminishing returns thereafter, for me if not the band.

No, but only because he hit the nail on the head with his first S/T release, Ted Nugent. ;)

Bloodletting is good. But… I prefer Free, personally.

Concrete Blonde are an extremely under-appreciated band. Nice to see another fan on here :)

It's almost as good as his first album!

I have to admit I prefer his first two albums over any others in his catalogue although I definitely very much enjoy them all.

Agreed! "Third" was my introduction to the band some 35 years ago. The album was awfully impenetrable at first, but I grew to love it. Then I backtracked and got into the psych-pop-whimsey of the earlier albums & became a fan for life.

“Zenyatta Mondatta” by the Police and S/T by the Velvet Underground. I think both also stand up as the best albums of their respective careers.

Bee Gees 1st was actually the Bee Gees' 3rd. It was just their first album released outside of Australia, and it was definitely the charm that put the band on the international map. As good as much of the material on the first 2 albums was, Bee Gees 1st was a quantum leap, and stands to this day as one of the all time great pioneering Baroque pop albums. And it was created by 3 teenagers (with a little help from 2 bandmates and an orchestra).

I don't know about that...I think Asbury and Wild are pretty damn good...better than most artists could hope for.
