Saw Charlies Angels new movie. GF wanted to see it. It was a lot of fun, and the special effects were WELL over the visual limit, and the storyline to be as straight as a Scooby Doo episode. In other words, it was MEANT to be really wacked out.

And it was. Totally silly and messed up. Was fun not having to take a movie seriously for once.

I want to see the Charlies Angles movie and The Italian Job.
I always like the original Italian job movie.

    WRT movie remakes-
I actually think the original "The Bourne Identity" with Richard Chamberlin is a better film than the new one. (2.5 hours though...)

Bought 4 (2 girls, wife, and me) tix to Nemo, finally. I usually don't like the local theater sound system. It sounds worse than my own :)

Oof, that's true. HT at its most average is beating the pants off of what you pay $9 to see/hear.

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

I agree, although some see it as mindless crap. ;)

Agreed. No one took it seriously. They just had fun.

Because if I want "reality" I'll watch the Weather Channel.

Actually, from my experience, the Weather Channel is more "fiction" :D

Is that why I'm ALWAYS caught without an umbrella? ;)

I was gonna say CNN but then I realized how inacurate that would be. :D

Seeing Regis on TV trying to make sense of the Charlies Angels movie this morning was a real-life oxy-*****, wasn't it?

I see The Hulk dropped 70% this weekend. No wonder. It is terrible. No way could I ever recommend it to anyone.

I do want to see 28 Days soon.

    Anyone see that?

I didn't care for the original "Charlies Angels" film, so I'm going to pass on the sequel. It was so bad that I had to pass a new "Tyler's personal code of conduct" rule.

Tyler's personal code of conduct Rule #845: "I shall never under any circumstance pay to see a movie that is based on a television show". Exceptions to this rule are The Sopranos, and The Simpsons.

I also took in Finding Nemo and 28 Days later (see my separate post for comments on the latter). Nemo was visually spectacular, and I would expect it to be a very popular DVD come Christmas time.

Saturday's movie choice boiled down to Angels or Zombies--went with the Angels, due to starting time. I thought it was actually pretty good--like the first one, doesn't take itself seriously. Got a lot of laughs out of the references to other films, and even the nonstop cheesecake shots are done with enough humor that no one could really be offended. Way, way more fun than 2F 2F, Hulk, or Matrix 2!

We'll catch up with those zombies next weekend--after seeing T3 on Friday.

Finding Nemo is on track to beat out Matrix 2 as the top-grossing movie so far this year--deservedly so. Seen it 3 times so far!

I can't wait for Nemo on DVD. I had such a great time with my 22-month old daughter -- she was excited to "find" Nemo. Pixar continues batting 1.000. Amazing!

Yeah, I'm batting 1.000 for Pixar DVD's....can't wait for Nemo....especially since the picture and sound sucked the big one at the $12 fuzzy screened coffee house/restaurant/playpen/party room/pickup joint/cell phone-beeper crazy movie house!

Speaking of Pixar-type DVDs, has anyone picked up the Ice Age DVD set? The animation looks promising but I didn't see anything about this one at the theatre and am not sure if it would be worth the investment.

Ice Age is another winner on DVD.

It used frequently in demo's of Home Theater Showrooms, in fact it maybe the #1 used demo dvd of all-time.

    Looks great on Plasma/ LCD/ DLP HDTV's.

    Great 5.1 sound also.
