Before Threes Company, you guys know that Priscilla Barnes appeared in Penthouse under a pseudonym, right?
The year was 1976. Her face was a lot fuller at that time: quite different!

I looked up those pics - Barnes is honestly unrecognizable in them. I'd never have IDed "Joann Witty" as Barnes if I didn't know it was her!

Nope. Didn't like that style back then, and still don't. I prefer Janet's "Rod Stewart" cut.

Always been partial to Janet. Brunettes and raven-hairs are my preference.

I'm very much a "dark-haired woman" guy, but hair color only goes so far. Never found Joyce DeWitt to be attractive at all - and the ugly hairstyles didn't help...

I'm never going back. I found Mr. Furley's lower denture in my Coq au Vin.

I dunno. For some reason I never had a thing for any of them and I was a teenage boy, kind of the core audience. But I can say with 100 percent certainty it wasn't Janet.

Cindy was too annoying. Never thought Janet was that attractive, though she did have her moments.

It's between Teri and Chrissy for me. Have to give the nod to Christmas Snow.

For those who voted brunette/Janet, did you know that is Suzanne Somers in a brunette wig in the opening shot of the theme song that makes Jack fall off his bike?

I was 7 when this show first premiered. The first season was the best, though the show was good for a couple of years.

These are all good natured characters in a fun farce. John Ritter was awesome at the physical comedy as was Don Knotts (a terrific actor btw). Loved the Ropers, especially the way the way Norman Fell would look at the camera and laugh right after telling a silly joke at his wife's expense.

This was a fun comedy whose writers and performers respected its audience- they expect you to know this is just goofy humor and we're all in on the joke together.
One of my favorite episodes was when Jack has to pretend to be his own twin brother There's a bunch of contrivances- the pretext has to be established and they are dressed exactly alike. They've gotta fool Mr. Furley, and Jack has to bein the same room as his "brother." It's completely outrageous, and "smarter" comedy would never try it. Imagine something like that on Seinfeld or Friends.

I was in college when Seinfeld first took off and while I have to admit it was a great show, I got so tired of people talking like the characters. Not just using the terminology(you know "re-gift, de-gift, the pick, etc) but in general adopting and copying the characters' mannerisms. I realize I was surrounded by young people, but I just hate when life imitates art.

With 3's co you had none of that. It was more like- we're not gonna tell you what to think but let's laugh together.

And they did it without a will they/won't they or a very special episode or any cliffhangers.

Like most successful shows, it went on much longer than it should have from a creative standpoint. And it's not like I'm gonna buy them on DVD or anything. But it was a good show.
