    Johnny Darrell - Mae Jean Goes to Hollywood

    Country music singer/songwriter.
    "Mae Jean Goes to Hollywood" was written by Jackson Browne. Johnny Darrell recorded the song for his album "California Stop-Over", released on United Artists in 1970.

    "Now this Hollywood producer who has offered you the world
    And let you drive his sporty new Camaro
    And I wonder just how many girls he's told that story to
    And how many dreams have gone the way of sorrow"

    OP8 - The Devil Loves L.A.

    Musical collaboration by Lisa Germano, Howe Gelb of Giant Sand, and Joey Burns and John Convertino of Calexico.
    The only album recorded by OP8 was "Slush", released on Thirsty Ear in 1997.

    Band from Los Angeles including guitarist Danny Kortchmar, keyboarder David Foster, bass guitarist Paul Stallworth, and drummer Jim Keltner.
    "Honey Don't Leave L.A." is a track from their self-titled debut album, released on Dark Horse Records in 1976.
    James Taylor later covered the song on his 1977 album "JT".

    Jim Ford - Working My Way to L.A.

    Singer/songwriter Jim Ford recounting his journey from "Ol' mama Creole" to the Pacific.
    A track from his album "Harlan County", released in 1969 on the Sundown label. The album was recorded at the legendary Wally Heider Studios in Los Angeles and features Jim Keltner on drums and Dr. John on the buoyant piano.

    "But my hopes are high

    A song for those who hate but love L.A. Complicated, mixed feelings put into a song by Colin Meloy.
