I love them all! sorry... Mission: Impossible 2 Vanilla Sky Minority Report The Last Samurai Collateral War of the Worlds Mission: Impossible III Lions for Lambs Tropic Thunder Valkyrie Knight and Day Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol Rock of Ages Jack Reacher Oblivion Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation Jack Reacher: Never Go Back The Mummy American Made Mission: Impossible – Fallout
I've really only watched Valkyrie from that list. I liked it. Seen bits of some of the others. Not that interested in the blockbuster style films.
It was definitely a weird movie but I chose Vanilla Sky if only for the scenes Tom shared with Cameron Diaz.
Vanilla Sky Minority Report Tropic Thunder War of the Worlds Could only pick 4. Haven't seen any of his films since Knight and Day. I saw "Last Samurai" in the theater and could have voted for that as #5, I suppose, but certain things about it irked me.
Robert DeNiro is doing a private signing with the people who run the big celebrity convention in Burbank. DeNiro want $500 a signature and much more on a poster. Cruise is next.
Mission: Impossible 2 Vanilla Sky Minority Report The Last Samurai Collateral War of the Worlds Mission: Impossible III Tropic Thunder Valkyrie Knight and Day Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol Rock of Ages Jack Reacher Oblivion Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation Jack Reacher: Never Go Back The Mummy American Made Mission: Impossible – Fallout so sorry this is the best I can do. : )
Mission: Impossible – Fallout Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow Jack Reacher Minority Report Collateral
I opened this thinking I would not be familiar with any of his movies after Eyes Wide Shut or Magnolia, whichever came last. I was surprised that I have seen 8 of them.
i haven't seen Edge of Tomorrow yet, I saw Minority Report so long ago I can't really remember what I thought of it.
Vanilla Sky-Collateral(the best of the five)-Valkyrie-MI Rogue Nation-American Made. The Mummy was such a disappointment though.
Vanilla Sky, Minority Report and Collateral are the only three on that list I like of the ones I have seen.
Have to admit that I wouldn't normally watch him, but I have seen Vanilla Sky, Minority Report, War of the Worlds and Collateral. Prefer the original Vanilla Sky, but I like this one too. WotW is bearable.
I was thinking we had just one in common... Just as good films. I like his newest films best (?) Fallout and Edge of T. I don't think the next MI will be woke, like Terminator Dark Fate and No Time to Die. But the new Top Gun... bows down? ... has a new patch that removes the Taiwanese flag and even the Japanese one on a navy patch on his jacket.
Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow is my favorite, even though the final act is a bit of a mess. Part of the fun for me is the movie's not-so subtle wink-wink attitude, knowing the audience is getting a kick out of seeing Tom getting snuffed time after time.
Reacher was fun. Gets my vote for his best action film. Tropic Thunder is a cult classic but I dont see Tom in a big enough part to call it a Tom Cruise movie. Minority was a great sci-fi movie Id edge it over Edge. Though I like the later also. I liked the German war movie, though I understand the criticism. Im not a fan of Mission Impossible much. I dont know why. I like James Bond. Weird. But yeah no votes for MI from me. War Of The Worlds I saw in Germany, which was an odd feeling since the movie was overdubbed yet had english subtitles. That movie weirds me out. The one that for some reason doesnt get much credit is Last Samari. I think its epic. But it seems to place low for some reason. Its Toms "Last Of The Mohicans"
I’d suggest Lions For Lambs and Jack Reacher, neither I’d put in the blockbuster category. Also, Oblivion, which may have a big budget is a quite thought provoking sci-fi flick.
Did Mummy really suck eggs? I saw the trailer but was like "Tom Cruise..in The Mummy?...What an odd combination" Sci-Fi and Tom, yes. Horror films and Tom? ...I just cant see it.
I loved it. It's not a typical role for him and I thought the action scenes were excellent. Sadly, this was to be the official launch of the Dark Universe (Dracula Untold was the first movie, this was the second) and since The Mummy did poorly it killed off the rest of the planned films.
I greatly disliked early Tom Cruise, but at some point he started impressing the hell out of me. I loved War of the Worlds, seen it dozens of times and own the blu-ray, same with Knight and Day, which is a bit more "fun", also loved Live Die and Repeat, the Jack Reacher's and most of the Mission Impossible's...
