Down to £31.10 on Amazon UK....you can see it but you still can't order it https://www.amazon.co.uk/Etcetera-V...&sr=8-1&keywords=wayne+shorter+etcetera+vinyl! Its some sort of cruel trick! Someone needs to sort out the distribution for this in other markets!
For those of you living in Europe: the price on amazon.de for Chic Corea is 45 euro... 45 euro!!! that is 52 usd. I am NOT impressed at all!
You can now pre-order the Chick Corea on Amazon UK for £35.01. I’ve placed a pre-order. The Shorter is still unavailable but I feel hopeful it will come on soon!
Can’t wait for the announcement of the full 18 LP series - we know 4 I think very interested in what will also be included
Sam Rivers - Contours - I think Joe confirmed that this was being worked on - might have been a Joe Henderson title too
Thanks, just pre-ordered both. Also bought the complete 2019 MM "XRV" set. Now no more spending for the entire rest of the year
Amazon.de offers preorder for €43.81. That's a pretty steep price, especially since Amazon.co.uk seems to be much closer to the $34.99 price tag of Amazon.com. Really off-putting.
That was actually higher for me, I got a price of 45,29 EUR on amazon.de -- I understood from the Blue Note 80th anniversary announcement that a reasonable price is supposed to be an important selling point of the Tone Poet series :/
I reported the Shorter to Amazon UK as it didn’t have a buy button (or pre-order)......you can now pre-order it this morning for £35.01! As per Amazon.de, the price isn’t quite as good as you have in the US (a like for like price would be closer to £27), but I can live with £35 if they are of the same standard as the MMs. I can’t remember what I was paying for the 45s back in the day - probably something similar before they became too expensive to buy here in the UK.
For UK buyers I suspect that The Sound Of Vinyl will list them at a better price than Amazon UK, Universal tend to be very competitive with their own titles, no harm in ordering on Amazon and cancelling if TSOV are cheaper.
Alan at JazzHouse Records says he will be stocking them. He's unsure of final cost as yet: possibly around the £40 mark.
