Ænima is their most melodic album.... Undertow is their raw side.
Should start with Opiate and just go through the whole catalog for perspective.

IMO Lateralus has to be experienced as a complete album and with the lights down low. Preferably sipping beverage of choice. :)

Lateralus is in my top 5 all-time favorite albums with Revolver, Tim, Automatic for the People and Born to Run.

There is no guarantee of a vinyl release, there never was an official release of 10,000 Days, and still no re-release of Aenima or Salival either.

I really wouldn't hold your breath for a vinyl release, since only half of their albums are easily available on vinyl, while the other half is impossible to get.

They aren't very concerned with their albums on vinyl apparently.

Incredible album IMO. I would pay top dollar for a proper box set of all their albums on vinyl. The vinyl is the easy part, but I have a strong feeling that the artwork is what is taking so long. The box will probably unfold into a turntable, lol. BTW nice to see another Montanan here.

have you still not heard 10,000 Days yet either because of no vinyl release?

if i were a fan of a band, i would definitely have heard it by now if i was truly interested in hearing a new album of a band i like, even
if they aren't releasing it in the format i prefer. I mean digitally or cd, it's easy to get and the new album sounds great...quit doing
your ears a disservice and check out the album finally! :)

    Only selections and only live.

I don't buy anything but LPs.

okay, well as a TOOL fan, that's an interesting way to be bold. :wtf:

I'd hate it only being able to listen to Opiate, Undertow and Lateralus and just missing out
on the rest because they aren't easily available or at all on vinyl....

you do you man though. for your sake, i hope they finally release the rest of the albums on vinyl, because
i couldn't imagine life with only half of their discography to be able to listen to due to my own stubbornness, lol

Honestly, I think the cd copy sounds pretty good. Sure, a vinyl copy being available would be nice. But, I'm sure it would be ridiculously expensive.

As mentioned upthread, I think the bootleg 10k Days vinyl that I heard sounds good. The poster should just bite the bullet on the Fear Inoculum bootleg if they can't wait for an official one any longer.

yeah, i did cause it was only around for a small amount of time and it kind of expensive to get a copy now, so i figured most fans don't have a
    real copy of it.
