Even weirder: I was 11 years old when "Superman" came out in 1978, and for reasons I can't recall/explain, we referred to that movie's Otis character as "Otis Oatmeal"!

I own the "1" CD solely because they included it with the Blu-ray music video compilation.

Though IIRC, that CD uses remixes of all the songs, which makes it different than the album or single versions.

So if I'm right, there is some reason to own it even if you have the albums! :)

It wouldn't surprise me, considering the size of the collections that some people here claim to have. Not only is it physically impossible for them to have heard everything they own, even remembering whether or not they own it would be a challenge.

    Ac/Dc - Back in Black
    Led Zeppelin - IV
    Eagles - Their Greatest Hits
    Eagles - Hotel California

There are others that I have owned in the past.

There are some of those that I don't own that I wouldn't turn down for free, but don't like them enough to pay money for them.

I have just about half of them, but like ABBA, I don't have greatest hits but I have all the albums.

Five - Dark Side of The Moon, Born in the USA and the three Beatles titles.

I have Absolute Abba which is a pre cd era compilation, slightly more songs than Gold, so never felt the need to replace it. Likewise, I have an Eagles comp, but not the one on the list.

I've owned Rumours, but don't anymore. There are other albums on the list (eg Bat Out of Hell) I don't own but could sing every word, and air guitar every solo from my student days 30 years ago. Being the biggest sellers, I guess they are so ubiquitous many of us don't feel the need to own a copy.

20 for sure and I wouldn't be surprised if I have CD's of all of them amongst a couple of boxes a friend gave me.

That’s pretty much what I have, the only thing later than Back In Black is Beatles 1 — which contains later-day remixes of old songs

For years I’ve meant to pick up a copy of Thriller but I already feel familiar with it through radio play
