    According to who? The RIAA says it's single-platinum, and didn't even get that until 1989, 21 years after release. I know the RIAA only certifies when asked by the record company, and the US isn't the whole world (though it is the biggest single market for this kind of music), but still. The Stones have eight studio albums and two hits collections that are double-platinum or better. What's the evidence that Beggar's Banquet has outsold all of those?

    Thriller, LZ IV, Hotel California, Back in Black.

    I feel out of touch....Shania Twain and Alanis Morrissette...they seem like mundane artists to be on that list to me. "You Oughta Know" was one of those songs that always had me reaching to the volume button. It just seemed like LOUD.

    Ha! Zero. I've heard 20 of them cover to cover (and some, like LZ IV, I've heard in their entirety dozens of times), but I have actually purchased exactly none of these.
