I forgot about 'Up'-Peter Gabriel. That would have to replace 'Halcyon Digest'-Deerhunter on my list.
The Bryan Ferry 'Avonmore' was a snooze fest to me although liked the song 'Loop Di Lo'(Spelling).
'Fast Forward'-Joe Jackson was a very good album and with 4 Songs created in 4 different cities to provide a variety of 16 Songs on the album was a great idea. Not all of the songs were great, but overall one of his best post 2000 albums(I also like 'Night & Day-Part 2' & 'Volume #4' a lot).

On your original list, I still need to check out 'Aerial'-Kate Bush to hear the songs beyond what she played on 'Before the Dawn'. I am in the process of completing my Kate Bush Catalog(or most of it).

Thanks! A lot of Ferry fans had that reaction to Avonmore, but I really loved it, especially the title track and "Soldier of Fortune."

Probably next on my list would have been the debuts by Elbow and Doves. Just curious, since we seem to have some common tastes--have you heard Cousteau? If not, they might be worth checking out: very cinematic and moody, but with more consistent songwriting than many bands fitting that description.

I will YouTube or Spotify the Cousteau albums you listed. I am not familiar with their music, but look forward to it when I can get some time. Speaking of Cinematic, the Ennio Morricone Soundtrack to the movie 'The Hateful Eight' is very good.

I actually love all 4 Doves albums, and find myself listening to 'Kingdom of Rust' more than the first 3 albums, but hard to deny the greatness of their first 2 albums, although 'Some Cities' contain my favorite Doves Song, 'One of These Days'. Speaking of which, if you YouTube the Elbow Song, 'New York Morning'(Great Song & Great Video), the man in the video discussing how he met his wife over the love of music and attending concerts at CGBGs and getting to know the bands on a personal level, is wearing a Doves 'Some Cities' in a part of that video when he driving his Taxi. Wonder if he is an Uber Driver now(unless NYC has blocked Uber from entering their market).
