I'm not going to list each concert individually! :D

    1) Springsteen - 130 times from 1985-2018
    2) U2 - 90 times from 1986-2018
    3) Bowie - 73 times from 1983-2004
    4) Madonna - 73 times from 1985-2019
    5) Rolling Stones - 57 times from 1989-2019

That's about 42% of all the concerts I've attended! :yikes:

I have no idea how old you are. Is that the reason you saw no pre-83 shows?

    Because I was 11 when Bowie toured pre-1983 and not a concert-goer! :)

Or a Bowie fan. I was in the "Let's Dance" era of converts. Had zero interest in Bowie before then.

It's not a coincidence that for all 5 of those "most seen" artists, my 1st shows were in the 80s! :shh:

I only attended 1 rock show pre-1982: Kiss in 1977...

Oh, and if anyone's interested, here are my most-seen artists who I didn't see until after the 80s:

    Pearl Jam - 49 times from 1996-2018
    Lady Gaga - 39 times from 2010-2019

Both of those #s were supposed to increase soon, but alas, COVID changed those plans!

There's no one who I first saw between 2000-2009 that I've been to see more than a dozen times...

    Oh, don't be a snob!

I admit I was embarrassed that Kiss was my 1st concert back in my teen/college "rock snob" days - though because the Bon Scott AC/DC opened, I had some "cred" in 8th grade when AC/DC was huge.

I got over myself and recognized that Kiss was a good little meat and potatoes hard rock band.

Don't love 'em and I have little use for their work after 1977 or so, but in their prime, they were pretty good!

    Francis Dunnery (100+)
Big Country (not since Stuart departed) (6 or 8 times I guess)
Five and under too many to list (even if I could remember!).

Edit: Floyd and solo I saw Pink Floyd without Roger in Cologne in 88 (or 87?), and with him at Live 8. Roger solo at Wembley 1987, Nevers 2006, Manchester 2011, Birmingham 2011, Wembley Stadium 2013. David with Brian Ferry at Live Aid '85, Albert Hall 31st May 2006, and with Ron Geesin at Cadogan Hall, London in 2008 (front row centre). Nick's Saucerful of Secrets in Manchester 2018.

Oh, I know you were joking - a little, at least! :D I should've included an emoji when I called you a snob. :)

When we saw AC/DC open for Kiss in 1977, the former were unknown - at least to me and my friend as 10-year-olds. I didn't get a sense from the crowd that the older people knew them well either.

My friend and I hated them - just thought they were awful!

Don't really remember why, though I know Angus annoyed us. Some weirdo in a schoolboy costume, one that he progressively shed as the show continued - no thanks! :D

I had a different reaction. I saw AC/DC as an opening act in '78. I loved them right away and knew right away they were a step above (IMO) the head liners (BOC and Thin Lizzy who were both great). I was 16/17.
