richierichie My glass is always full. Thread Starter

As promised a month or so ago this is a poll for you to vote for your favourite 20 (twenty) albums of all time. Any category of music you wish to choose, compilations, live albums also accepted.

This is the FIRST time that I am aware of that Hoffmanites have been asked to nominate their favourite 20 albums and have the results turned into a poll.

Before people start moaning about similar threads on this forum I have checked ALL of them. The only thread that resembles this thread is this: `Your top 5 albums of all time` posted by bherbert on Jul 23, 2017, which I hijacked with bherbert`s permission and turned into a `Top 5 Album Poll. This I used as a dry run for this Poll.

What many people commented during that poll was "Why only 5 albums?", they asked why can we nominate more?, how about 10 or even 20?

So here you are, you can nominate up to 20 albums, if you only wish to vote for 1, 3, 8, 10 or 17 that`s OK. However I will ONLY accept your first list of nominations. So if you only nominate 5, then come back with another nomination for another 15, these later nominations will NOT be accepted. So THINK carefully.

The scoring is simple: 1 point for each album nominated.

This is intended to be a moan free thread so could any trolls please stay under your bridge. This thread is meant to be a celebration of our musical tastes.

I hope I have not made things too complicated, any questions please ask. Thanks Richie.

I will give a week`s warning of when I intend to close the voting.

For better or worse, my top five are all by The Beatles. What I'd like to do is just go with the number one from my top ten list (which has remained constant for the last 30 years) and then list, in order, the four which come up just below my number 5 which is Sgt. Pepper (I hope *I* haven't made things complicated).:

    1-The White Album
    2-Thick As A Brick
    3-Pet Sounds
4-Let It Bleed/Sticky Fingers (sorry...I've tried but cannot break this dead heat)
    5-Tommy

.....for what it's worth, my number 10 (which would have been "6' on this list is Cosmo's Factory.
