Top Beatles covers from the time of the Beatles

    This is, of course, the interesting one. Since The Beatles wrote for/gave the song to the Rolling Stones, who - if I'm not mistaken - released it first, should we say that The Beatles covered it or that the Stones covered it?

    I guess one can look at it that way. : ) I liked it and yes of course the Beatles were better...It would have been interesting hearing the Beatles cover I Fought The Law!

    Well, they fooled me. I just assumed the guy was some fan of bootlegs, not someone into posting fakes, so I didn't bother to click his name. I suspected it wasn't Elvis in that the voice didn't sound quite right, but by 72 it's not unimaginable that Elvis was just pilled up and screwing around in Graceland and thus not in peak voice.

    I bet an Elvis cover of Strawberry Fields would have been pretty great. Oh well.

    You may enjoy his videos on YouTube. He does good albeit broad impersonations of rock musicians.

    His specialty is a killer McCartney.
