Yeah, I know, I bought it. Unfortunately that version was never available in a physical copy besides on-demand CDRs that MS used to sell through his site. Projekt is releasing real glass mastered CDs. For people that want physical product like me, that's a big deal.
this one by MS is just amazing space ambient , in fact i have been playing it way more lately than Planetary Unfolding (which is also top stuff) Michael Stearns - Encounter: A Journey In The Key of Space
Ashra - New Age Of Earth Brian Eno - Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks Klaus Schulze - Mirage Tangerine Dream - Zeit Slowdive - Pygmalion Honorable Mentions: Steve Roach - Structures From Silence Edgar Froese - Epsilon in Malaysian Pale Fripp & Eno - (No Pussyfooting) Fripp & Eno - Evening Star Tim Hecker - Ravedeath, 1972
The Tired Sounds Of Stars Of The Lid Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2 Eno - Thursday Afternoon The Orb - U.F.Orb The KLF - Chill Out
On Land is in a land on (you see what i did there...) its own maybe aphex twin's SAW 2 (which is probably with On Land in my personal top five ambient albums) ? ambient is a very peculiar genre , not easily defined however even though there are thousands albums out there , you need to select the exact specific kind of album for your mood at the time
the 3 albums in bold are in my top4 (FSOL Lifeforms is the 4th) so i went ahead and checked out the other 2 albums in your list which were completely unknown to me , thanx for having a great taste in ambient music
